Paul D'Alessandro

If you attended one of the clogging workshops in the Washington, DC area, then you would have seen Paul. The guys always stand out in a crowd of mostly women. He helped lay floors many times for the Potomac Double Down. He always helped with any stage takedown and cleanup at the night's end.

Paul took up clogging after meeting me. Seems he prefered to participate rather than be my groupy! He took lessons from the Bull Run Cloggers, then danced with them (and me) for a few years. Both of us then joined a new group, the Calico Cloggers.

In the Fall of 2022 Paul was diagnosed with lung cancer, even though he never smoked. He spent 17 months battling it, and managed to stay active up until the last couple of months. He is greatly missed as a dancing member and the sound man of the Calico Cloggers, and as my life partner.
